Milan Fashion Week has always been known for a very cool and quirky beauty looks, and it is so inspirational. So it’s not a surprise that at Moschino’s Milan fashion week show went all out and back to the 90s: the look was heavy on the makeup (but looks super good) and also marked the return of M.A.C.’s iconic Spice Lip Pencil to the runways.
If you want to recreate Moschino’s dolled up look, take inspiration from the makeup artist himself, Tom Pecheux. Pecheux applied a full face of foundation on the models’ faces (here we used the Ultra HD Foundation by Make Up Forever). Then, arch your eyebrows and give yourself a smoky eyes. There’s a secret to achieve a classic shadow look. Pecheux said that you should put your foundation on your eyelids, followed by powdering your lids, and then powder them again with a shimmery shadow that’s a bit paler than your skin tone.
After that, you can apply your charcoal or black eyeshadow (Eyeshadow by Sephora) at the outer corners and along the creases and blend. Finish the look with black winged liner, a set of false lash strips (False Eyelashes by Sephora), touch of orange on your cheek (Cheek Stain by Tarte), and lips filled in with M.A.C.‘s Spice Lip Pencil in brown red that provides border patrol for dark lips without smudging. Voila! You’ve got the classic 90s dolled up look!
