I was strolling through some fashion websites yesterday, found this very pretty floral printed crepe mini dress and I instantly thought about using it for this article, since I haven’t created a post for y’all that contains a mini dress in it. So here it is, the first look..

One of many ways to spice up your look is by wearing something printed. If you are the type of girl who loves to wear mini dresses, then this time pick ones that have prints on it. Sometimes getting dressed in the summer season doesn’t always leave much room to experiment with your style, but with a printed mini dress, you can really dress however you want to. Look at the picture above…

I mixed the easy-to-wear printed crepe mini dress with a pair of white trainers and also a silver tote bag. All of these fashion pieces are actually super simple but the prints on the dress, the silver color of the bag make them perfect to be a statement items that can trick people into thinking you’ve actually made an effort to create this look, while actually you don’t.

This outfit ensemble is perfect for summer because the crepe mini dress was made out of materials that is appropriate for relaxed summer dressing and what’s more comfortable than a pair of trainers? This combo is instantly eye-catching. Especially when you add a cat-eye sunglasses and also throw in some statement rings to your fingers. What not to love? This is how you can spice up your look. Imagine wearing just a plain dress with sneakers, it would be boring, wouldn’t it?

If there is any time of the year to start spicing up your look by infusing color into your wardrobe, summer is the right time. Summer is such a fun time for style for so many different reasons. So for the second styling idea, I am going to use a very colorful high waisted skirt. I personally love the skirt I picked in the picture above because the print is very abstract and unique, it can definitely be a statement making piece for your outfit.

The cutest way to wear this kind of skirt is to mix them with a crop top. Oh and in summer, the crop top and high waisted skirt combo is very essential since you’ll be showing a bit of skin, but at the same time you will not be showing too much. Why did I chose to use a white crop top? It’s actually to help the skirt stick out more, because the purpose of this ensemble is to spice up a very simple look, right?

For accessories, you can just wear items that have the same color as your skirt (so it can be soft pink, blue, orange, or purple) but this time I go with soft pink. Add a cute small backpack to this look, followed by a pair of pink earrings and nail polish! Before you go out of the house, don’t forget to wear a apair of pumps – because it’s cute to accompany the crop top and skirt combo!

You can see how the colorful skirt instantly tie together your whole look and make you look even more fantastic! Remember that it will get hot in the summer, so wearing a breathable outfit is very necessary!

What do you think girls? What item do you usually wear or use to spice up your everyday look? Do you prefer colorblockin or prints better? Tell us in the comments below! Happy Summer!

  1. Pink tends to be the go-to hue, so shake things up and try a warmer shade like apricot, carrot or melon for a beautifully burnished look. Be sure to use a cream formulation—it blends right into the apples of your cheeks and gives you a fabulous faux flush-from-within.
