We want to thank Jajaka x Ivan Gunawan for giving us the opportunity to recreate their model’s make up look who wears a hijab. Read on to see how to create a simply charming make up look for all the ladies who wears hijab and like to keep themselves in style!
As always, start by applying moisturizer on brighten up your face to make you look more awake. After that, jump into your favourite foundation or BB cream (BB Compact, by Etude House) that is one shade lighter than your skin tone, because usually foundation gets darker once you apply it. Then, blend concealer to conceal the darkness around your eyes.
Since your eyes are going to be the most prominent part if you wear a hijab, make sure to keep your make up minimal and focus on your eyes and cheeks. So now, let’s move on to your cheeks first. Apply orange or pink blush (Little Round Pot Blush, by Bourjois), or any blush that suits your skin. Bring your cheeks up, and move the brush towards the apples of your cheeks. This will give a natural tone to your face.
Next, moving on to eyebrows. Shape and fill your eyebrows gently with Color My Brows by Etude House. For the eyeshadow, you can choose colors that match with your hijab. Or go for a natural look, by using nude or brown shades to avoid having a heavy make up (Brown Eyeshadow, by Sephora).
It’s time for eyeliner! We prefer to use the eyeliner pen to line your inner water line (Eyeliner Superliner Gelmatic Pen, by Loreal). This will make your eyes pop and prettier! Don’t forget to also apply a nice pink shade of lipstick (Rouge Edition Velvet, by Bourjois) to give the whole look a final touch. Voila, you’re done! What do you think of the make up?
