So many beautiful shows to keep up from the New York Fashion Week Spring 2018 shows, but here some of our favourites
This is probably our most favourite collection from this season’s New York Fashion Week! We love Mansur Gavriel’s shoes and bags collections, obviously, but now we love them even more! Mansur Gavriel finally released a see-now-buy-now, ready-to-wear lineup and it is UHMAZING. Look at the ultra simple and minimal silhouettes, plus the color options that were delivered beautifully, starting with monochromatic looks in camel and soft grey, followed by the very pretty powder pink, yellow and blue. The preppy pattern is also perfect to wear for adult! This collection is very smart and we want to wear them all!
After looking at the whole collection, we decided that we love it and we would totally wear them! They executed the whole preppy meets athletic look rather nicely. We would definitely love to wear some of the pieces from the collection. The plaid blazer mixed with relaxed shredded jeans and the whole cheerleader-chic looks fun to be worn!
Another win from Victoria Beckham! This collection has very pretty colors and the styling looks very polished. The love affair with menswear still goes on, you can see it in the mix of beautiful grey blazer and pants that looks very strong, and there are some solid pieces like the sheer pink dress layered over striped tube dress, checkered shirt worn under a sheer skirt in beautiful ice cream color. We think that the delicate materials and the color scheme make the whole collection looks powerful and very pulled together.
DIANE VON FURSTENBERG
If you are more into dresses, then Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2018 collection will be one of the best choices for you. We love love love all the colorful dresses. Saunders really brought some fresh energy to DVF. I mean look at those dresses, there is a touch of 70s to it but still looking very modern! Most importantly, these looks are wearable. Who doesn’t want to wear a beautiful orange printed sheer dress or a combination of crop top and stripe printed wide pants to any spring or summer events next year? This is fabulous!
3.1 PHILLIP LIM
You might think this collection feels too simple, but we do think that it’s still way better than half the collection that has been shown in NYC. Phillip Lim successfully created a very solid collection with pretty color palette and styling. We really love the dresses, the crop knitwear and the puffy skirt, the mustard long vest! Everything is so fab. Those pieces look decent as individual pieces, but are also gorgeous as a whole. It’s classic but does not look old and dated. The collection contains pieces that has a full potential for mix-and-matching with a our existing wardrobe. It’s amazing.
