NYFW Fall 2015 in a Nutshell (Part II)

NYFW have already wrapped up a week ago and just as always we are going to show you some of our favourite collections. Here is a second round up of our version of the best trends for fall 2015. Check them out!

NYFW fall 2015 (3)

We’ve always been a fan of Michelle Smith, and her work for Milly this season was super bold. The silhouette and the colors were all very vibrant, all also very practical. Our favourite was the sculptural coats in neon pink and also those scribble printed sweater and pants!

Phillip Lim
It’s Phillip Lim’s 10th anniversary, and in this collection Mr. Lim used romantic fabrics and gave them an unexpected utilitarian twist, just look at those jackets! Black, mustard and red were the dominant colors and he also included modern-looking suits and plaids with boots in this collection. We are guessing that sport and menswear-inspired tailoring were the key elements to Milly and Philip Lim’s fall collection. They are perfect.

NYFW fall 2015 (4)

Narciso Rodriguez
Narciso Rodriguez created a long, lean silhouette with this super combination of ultra high-waisted pants and triple platform heels that totally made the already-very-tall models looked like giants (in a good way!). Black and white were the color from the first looks of his collection, and it’s really sleek and clean. We also fell in love with the twisted metal choker that reminds you that less is often more.

Michael Kors
We told you on our Instagram account that Michael Kors’ Fall 2015 collection is the bomb. The chunky knits and statement fur coats are to die for. Camel, khaki green, brown, burgundy, navy, and black were the color palette for his pieces and that just screams luxury. Kors also add an extra dose of coziness, by creating an oversized fur scarf to stole the mix. Damn he is good.

Proenza Schouler
We were super excited to see Proenza Schouler and Marc Jacob’s collection and they did not disappoint us. Look at that off-the-shoulder top and dresses that were slashed at various places. You can also see the fishnet stockings worn under dresses and midi skirts, they were the common factor in all of the looks. The models wore shoes that were a mix of wrapped leather and fabric that tie in artfully-placed knots. This is what you call the art of fashion. It’s perfect.

Marc Jacobs
Last but not least, Marc Jacobs. Models walked the runway wearing tweed two-pieces, sleeveless house dress in black, completed with pairs of knee-high boots and leather gloves. We love the dress Erin O’Connor wore to open the show. All of the pieces from Marc Jacobs’ fall 2015 collection are super wearable and stunning. It made us crave for more.

So what’s your favourite from New York Fashion Week? Tell us in the comments below! We are definitely going to review other fashion weeks soon. So stay tuned!
