New York Fashion Week SS15

The New York Fashion Week SS15 started at the first days of September and we have been busy staring, aaaah-ing and ooooh-ing over the very glamorous runways. That’s why we haven’t got the time to write here, but today we’re going to start spilling our most favourite looks from New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, and also Paris Fashion Week. There are a lot of trends occurring and wrapped the models’ bodies as they prettily sashayed on the catwalk and we’re going to break it down for you. Now let’s start with New York fashion week, where all dreams are made of…..

New York Fashion Week SS 2015

Stripes are all over the runway this time, from Suno, Rebecca Minkoff, Nicole Miller, Tanya Taylor, every designer used stripes in a variation of types and textures and we love it! Stripes is probably the most versatile and fun pattern that you can wear, right? Anyways, our first favourite will be Suno’s SS15 which is a collection full of mix n match patterns, that is very artsy and pretty. Suno SS15 embodies an exotic and funky sophistication where the models walked and wore eyewear, chunky necklaces, and all those colorful pattern galore.

Rebecca Minkoff collection this time allowed us to enjoy a sexy and soft waterfall skirts, antique lace tops, 3D printed dresses, and feminine shirts that are perfect to wear for your next summer holiday. Like, you can really get inspired with that collection by wearing a breathable shirts that’s tucked into a printed flowing skirt — effortlessly chic, we must say? Another flirty ruffle and striped crop top were also seen on Nicole Miller SS15, completed with a number of tailored cutout dresses and sexy tropical colors featuring fun parrots and pineapples prints. A really bold way to enjoy summer and spring, right?

Girls, do you remember the Pharrell Williams’ Vivienne Westwood headpiece? Why did a headpiece similar to that can look so good on those models? Really, Tibi SS15 is very chic with its versatile head to toe seperates including and soft subtle colors like camel, grey, and white that are very easy to the eyes. Next, ’70s inspired Jill Stuart SS15 show at New York Fashion Week literally spoke to us on every element. The graceful stripes, the soft dusky colors, completed with glossy eyes, offset by natural, dewy highlights, a beauty that just about anyone could achieve with only a little practice!

And don’t even get us started on Alexander Wang  and Prabal Gurung SS15 because we could probably use the whole day to talk about how magnificent the all white ensemble with slick silhouettes and a sporty vibe shown when Wang took the trainer as the core inspiration for his collection. And hands down to Prabal Gurung SS15 that is full of icy opalescent white with gorgeous materials that shows a luxurious collection. It was very well-presented!

Another favourite from New York Fashion Week will be Thakoon SS15 collection — raffia fringe and seed beading, say what! You can see old patches of black and white wound together with long blue fringe, banana leaf prints that just make you feel like you’re actually living on a tropical area. That’s just plain gorgeous. Moving on to Victoria Beckham SS15  with its elegance on the runway. Although there were still a classic monochrome palettes that came in beige and burgundy, the collection feel stronger and also fresher! Not to mention she also created florals for the first time and her first ever collection of shoes — pointed white flats and clunky heels!!!! We go head over heels for that.

Last but not least, DKNY SS15. Goodness gracious it’s a fantastic riot of colour. Bold graphic and geometric prints in b/w and colors like orange, yellow, red, light blue, a collection worth of standing ovation.  Sportswear-inspired fashion also is the main key for the looks that made this show won’t be forgotten in a hurry. Oh and remember, culottes are so on trend, girls! That’s why we’re going to give you some styling inspiration to wear culottes soon, because you and us too, need it!
