MFW Spring 2017 Favourite

Milan Fashion Week Spring 2017 started with designers delivering the beautiful fabrics that created lux looks we’ve come to expect, and we love it! Below, get our rundown of the six most favourite collections to come out of the Spring 2017 shows. Here are the highlights!

This season, Miuccia Prada offered us geometric prints with a fresh alternative, for example: bomber jackets and trench coats were beautifully printed with art deco graphics. There were also multiple appearance of ostrich feathers in pink, brown, and grey, sprouting from sleeves, skirts, and sandal straps. We could probably live our life in stripes and florals alone and be perfectly happy about it, but looking at this collection.. We can’t wait to wear geometric prints next season!

Diesel Black Gold
Our favourite from Diesel Black Gold Spring 2017 collection: the ruffle skirts and cropped bomber jackets in pale pink, and crisp white bralette tops worn with high-waisted trousers. Another pieces we love were the white ruffled sundresses and frayed edged chiffon pieces. Looked like this collection was all about the 90s.

Jil Sander
Jil Sander showed a wide range of blazers, dresses, and trench coats with huge sized shoulder pads. Sander also used the affection for all things dusty pink and white to welcome spring, and it proved to us that sometimes wearing less color just makes your outfit looks even more luxurious. Not to mention those thin pleats that looked super delicate.

This season, Fendi gave us sugary pink throughout the collection, came in the form of sheer lingerie like dresses, skirts, and even jewelled pins. Sporty stripes and feminine touches were styled together to create a modern take on ladylike dressing. The sporty knitted sock booties looked cool too!

Bottega Veneta
Bottega Veneta are celebrating 50 years of the brand and Tomas Maier’s 15th year as Creative Director. The color palette for this season was important, said Tomas Maier. Matching the clothes with the skin tone and age, this is a collection that would work on young and old. The show also had an amazing supermodel moments where Gigi Hadid and Lauren Hutton walked hand in hand, it was special.

Blumarine Spring 2017 was one of our favourite collections from Milan Fashion Week because they offered us a very ready to wear outfit like crop tops, peasant skirts, capri pants and dresses, that came in a palette of white, grey, and dusty pink. They were just so beautiful. A rose pink blouse with balloon sleeves worn with a pair of gold leather shorts created an exotic appeal. We just want wear them for a holiday in the sun.
