The Milan Fashion week is coming to an end and we have been closely following along to catch our favourite designers on the runway. Check out the stand out looks from the best collection in Milan this season:
Erika Cavallini successfully worked the feminine and masculine contrast: mixing feminine pieces with tailored men’s jackets, all in elegant comfort and delicate colors. Combining a lingerie-like floral camisole with a pair of tailored pant and/or a pretty sheer dress worn layered and loose underneath oversize blazers make the outfits look tough but graceful. Our favourite: matching bras over tailored menswear pieces. The next time you want to wear a bralette layered over your outfit, take the styling trick from this show. Wear your bra over an elongated cotton jackets or over a crisp masculine shirt. Looks fab and chic!
This is definitely a very lovely collection! They are actually very simple, but the perfect styling making them looking very sharp and chic. Also, the color palette is quite savory. So many gorgeous pieces to flaunt next season: pencil trench skirts,; sharp, lean jumpsuit; sporty tanks worn with belts slung on a long skirts. Very classic silhouettes and very grown-up. In short, this collection is luxurious and most importantly, wearable.
Want to look for inspirations for a garden party dresses? Look at this beautiful and delicate dresses from Luisa Beccaria’s Spring 2018 collection. Elegant and somewhat understated. The looks completed with the pretty set is very enchanting, pleasing to the eyes. We would love to own those floral embroidered dresses in sunny bright colors and our other favourite is the blue striped jacket and culottes! Very dreamy and romantic.
Let’s say this: Fendi Spring 2018 show is absolutely stunning! When other people are doing minimalism, Karl is doing futurism. Look at the first look on Kaia, it is very magnificent. You can see how luxurious the fabrication is and we can also see it in the whole collection, thankfully, with sharp coats, skirts and blouses coming down the catwalk in muted shades of ocean blue, green, and coral pink. The choice of prints is also what we admire the most, they never look overwhelming. The sheer shirt will definitely be a winner if you like those loose Hawaiian shirt trend that is very big recently. We love the playful styling too — very young, fresh, and desirable.
One of the best collections from Milan Fashion Week this season is Etro. The show line up started with white looks embellished with glorious pearl and crystal, showing glamor. Then it was followed by beautiful green baby doll dresses and finished with a set of ethereal printed and embroidered orange and magenta folkloric dresses (you can see Etro’s signature paisley prints here), showing the Bohemian luxury. All of the dresses are long, fluid, tighten at the waist with fabric belt. The large earrings also light up the faces of the models. This is what you call a stunning use of prints, embellishment, and fabrics.
Hands down a very iconic show. So fierce. This show marks the 20 years of Donatella and 20 years since Gianni left us, and as a tribute to her late brother, this is very well executed and very touching. Loving those Barocco silk shirts, dresses, the technicolor coats with padded shoulder and mini skirts, the super simple but flawless evening dresses, the high waisted pants and leggings. God, it is so beautiful. This show just reminds us about who the maximalist genius really was. Not to mention the finale when Donatella walked with those iconic super models. Too bad they did not walk during the whole show, but it was still a very great fashion moment. In the end, we realized that good clothes lives forever.
