Summer 2017 will be a season of contrasts for menswear collection. Here are our top 3 favourite from all of the shows:
Ermenegildo Zegna’s Menswear Fall 2017 collection proved that suits in plain and neutral colours can be worn by any man, whether they are young or old. This was achieved by creating a more casual and sporty vibe to the traditional male tailoring — Sartori experimented with luxurious fabric using ultralight cashmere but mixing them with bomber jackets, which was a genius move!
This is Francesco Risso’s debut collection for Marni, — and let us tell you that it is so playful and fun, but still has that luxurious geeky vibe to the whole collection. Why fun? Imagine having your significant other or your guy friends wearing suits, but not the common grey and navy ones, but oxblood red, maroon, and orange ones! Isn’t that crazy cool? Because unlike Cindy Lauper said, boys also wanna have fun! And this collection is all about the winter trends, huge outerwear, furs, flared pants, etc! So interesting.
Sunnei collection this season screamed cool and effortless looks with very relaxed silhouettes. And we’ve just learned a new formula that wearing a bomber jacket over your striped pajamas (pajamas are going to be a huge trend!) will look super laid back and quite cool at the same time. Our other favourite look from the show was when the model walked in a pair of wide-leg pants and jeans worn with T-shirts and striped oversize cotton shirts — nerdy but edgy!!! We love it.
