Milan Fashion Week Fall 2019 marched on with designers delivering luxurious collections we’ve always come to expect here. Scroll down to find out our top six favourite!
This season, Agnona offered us a series of soft creams, camel color, and greys balanced with the casual and super comfortable layers of jackets and coats. The materials were luxurious and had gentle sophistication. Cashmere sweaters and elongated outer were layered over slouchy pants. Sheer dresses in floral and skirt were worn under an extra fine jacket. Everything was so desirable and we’re pretty sure they will make you warm too.
Beautiful fabrics, exquisite use of color and skilled tailoring are the trademarks of Italian design, including Maryling. The colors Maryling used for this season were shades of pink, grey, black and olive. Adding plaid prints too, done in coats, jackets, and mini skirt. This time, they focused more on structured and tailored pieces. Also, giving long coats and dresses belt to cinch the waist of its wearer, creating a nice balance between top and bottom. Our most favourite? Maybe the first four looks in pink, they’re just too pretty.
As always, the silhouettes and layers at Missoni are quite simple. This collection might be simple, but it was very serene, bold, and sexy. At Missoni, a knit is not just any knit, and this season’s knit pieces are done in beautiful prints and colors. Some of the coats were embellished with black and white fowl feathers, a blazer was made in mint color with zigzag pattern, even some monotone looks (the lavender lurex top and pants, the mustard jumpsuit) were so eye-catchy too. The men’s looks were also gorgeous, mixing knits with wovens. So captivating.
Alessandro Dell’Acqua showed a solid lineup of easy and effortless ladylike dressing with flares of masculine-feminine. The collection oozed confidence and subtle sensuality. You can see leather dress worn witn mules, sheer dresses with polkadot embellishments done in dusty rose color, pretty white tank with cute bows attached on both straps. We love it and surely wanna cop it.
Red, pink, blue, and green brought a pop of color to Stella Jean’s Fall 2019 collection in belted coats with plaid and striped printes and exaggerated collars. This season’s pieces were irresistibly fun. So many print and pattern showed up via dresses and skirts too. They were worn with hight white boots. Our most favourite look was the all dark vermillion orange outfit consisting of leather coats, midi skirt, and lightweight top, finished with a pair of super striking orange boots. So effortlessly chic!
Last but not least, Fendi. It was a very emotional show after the passing of Karl Lagerfeld last week. This is the last collection from Karl for Fendi, and they were beautiful. The silhouettes, materials and the overall styling match what people expect from Karl’s Fendi these days. It was more of his style. We love everything, especially the colors. Bright turquoise, marigold, and pink popped against tons of black and brown. Absolutely touching, a beautiful and emotional show, definitely one of the top collections from Milan.
