Milan is our number two favourite from the Big 4, so that’s why we chose 5 brands for today’s pick. From Emilio Pucci to Moncler, here are our breakdown of the top 5 Milan Fashion Week Fall 2108 collections. Just to remind you of what trends are going to be huge next season. Check them out!
First stop, Emilio Pucci! We picked the brand because we love the colors and prints this season. Who does not want a pair (or two pairs) of boots with prints a la Pucci? Statement making! The printed dress layered with rose gold coat is divine. Also in love with the dusty pink turtle neck that is paired with shiny printed skirt. So simple but pretty!
If this is not beautiful, we don’t know what is. First, the tailoring is amazing. Second, the materials used are fabulous. Third, it’s a collab between Fila, a basic sportswear brand with Fendi. Need we say more? It’s perfect! The sweaters all look very relaxed but the coats and blazers keep them chic and expensive. And that yellow boots? Gorgeous!!! This collection is fantastic.
We enjoyed this collection sooo much, because of the colors, the cutting, and the styling. Have never been sooo amazed by bright colors. The striking magenta is definitely going to take place as your new favouite shade of pink. And here in Marni, they take color blocking to a whole new level. If you love red, but also magenta (or any other color), you can try the half and half trend like the picture shown above. You can have the dual-shade effect in one outfit, how cool is that? You don’t have to spend so much time picking which color you want to wear because you can wear both! Last but not least, let us have those colorful d’Orsay pumps!!
If you guys notice, we almost, always put Max Mara on our pick, because yes, we love them. For us, Max Mara never disappoints. This collection is glamorous and very bold. The long skirts, the prints, they are very pretty! Yep, animal prints are back, forcing you to get in touch with your wild side next season. We really like the logo printed tee that was styled under a beige mink coat, it’s very chic.
We think it’s necessary to close this article with Moncler’s Genius Fashion Show: The Genius Project. Remo Ruffini relaunched his Moncler brand with a collaboration with eight different designers (from Pierpaolo Piccioli, Craig Green, to Simone Rocha). That means, eight different concepts! How crazy is that. From the 8 styles we picked Simone Rocha and Noir’s Kei Ninomiya. Why? Because you can see two different vibes there: Rocha going with light material for the outerwear and Noir’s Kei Ninomiya giving us the all-black collection of leather that looks a bit heavier. However, you can still feel the basic concept of Moncler. Both of them are gorgeous, and we can’t get enough!
