Joseph Spring’18: Blended Patterns

Just like the Resort collection, Joseph Menswear Spring 2018 collection still contained many elements of both Hockney’s personal style and preferred palette. Scroll down to see some of our favourite looks from this season’s collection!

As you can see above, this collection was all about strong shoulders and patterns. The color palette ranged from neutral tones, such as brown, khaki, to bolder ones like yellow, orange, red, and blue. We love how Mark Thomas balanced the laid-back gingham pajama suit with a jacket for a more casual vibe. An effortless detail can also be seen from the cinching waists that were added to the jackets.

This collection is amazing, because look at how clever Thomas blended patterns, prints, and hues. Some of the most eye-catching pieces are the countryside printed knitted sweater that was paired with blue trousers (it was like an actual painter painted Hockney’s Yorkshire landscape on the knitted sweater), geometric knit sweater, vertical-striped shirt worn under loose bee-like striped polo shirt, also a combo of blue gingham turtleneck worn under a beautiful brown jacket!
