Having a holiday trip this season? We have some styling ideas for you, and it is special for you girls who are petite and curvy!
(1) Loose Fitting Shirt, at Tibi; Black Jacket, at Mango; Slim Fit Stretch Pants, at Piazza Sempione; NMD, at Adidas Originals; Zipper Shoulder Bag, at Givenchy (2) Sleeve Knit Top, at L K Bennett; Long Sleeve Coat, at Mango; Crop Length Pants, at Mango; Leather Heel Boots, at Alexander Wang;
The key to dressing for a curvy petite is that shape, color, and fabric really matter, especially in winter. You should avoid wearing ruffles, bows, etc. Keep your lines simple and clean, because you are a small palette.
So, for the first styling above, we created an ensemble that includes a simple striped fitted top and tuck it into a pair of simple fitted grey pants. You definitely don’t want to look short and stumpy, so this is the perfect type of pants you would want to wear. Remember to say no to wider legged pants, because they can visually shorten your legs. Then to keep warm, layer a hip-length jacket. This will create a figure balance. A short jacket like this will bring the attention up toward your waist and you will look great, we promise!
For the second style, we are using camel colored coats that cuts off right at the knee and has a deep V neckline. Coats that are longer than your knee will cut off at the largest point of your leg, and that will make you look shorter. Also, a good rule of thumb is that your shirt should never cover your zipper. So, if you want to draw attention to your waist, again, you can wear a top that flatter your body and tuck it into your high waisted jeans. High waisted are your friends as they elongate your legs and will help you downplay your curves, but in a flattering way.
But anyways, in the end of the day you will realize that embracing your body and wearing what you love and feel confident in them is always a better idea! So we hope this styling ideas can help you, but you have to make sure that you are comfortable throughout the day.
