Fascinating Ways to Wear Turtleneck

Did you all fall in love with turtleneck as much as we did? Yep, believe it or not, this fashion staple is making its comeback! Now, turtleneck comes in so many form. Say slouchy, fitted, ribbed, chunky, cropped — we love them all. Despite of being called “granny” fashion item, a turtleneck can be a fascinating addition to your wardrobe if worn the right way! It might surprise you.

Instead of wearing the usual turtleneck sweater, give a fresh touch to your look with a sleeveless crop turtleneck! This type of turtleneck is so chic and it’s definitely OK to wear even though it’s not fall or winter.

Next, for the color of your outfit, go monochromatic or at least pick only two colors for your outfit. Take a look at the picture above for example. Channel your inner Audrey Hepburn by combining a black sleeveless crop turtleneck with a pair of tailored grey cropped pants. It’s the perfect alternative to an all black look.

The shoes that goes well with this outfit will be loafers (if you’re really eager to channel your inner Audrey Hepburn), however you can always opt for platform sandals too! Especially when you have a short or petite figure, weaing heels or platform will add an illusion of height to your body.

A turtleneck is a perfect top for accessorizing. Draw attention to it with a statement necklace. Both your turtleneck and necklace will be the center of attention. Finish off your look by applying nude lipstick and bring your fabulous clutch or cross body bag for a glamorous fashion.

For the second style, you can try to take a trip back in time (throwback isn’t only for Instagram, y’all!) and experiment with vintage look by layering your sleeveless crop turtleneck with a leather jacket. You will instantly get an edgy girl update to the look by wearing leather jacket.

Since usually leather jacket comes in black color, pairing it with the turtleneck in the picture above is actually a really nice way to play with texture that can make your outfit look less boring. And when layering, you should remember to wear a thin turtleneck that fits well through your body.

Then, combine that with a pair of skinny jeans, or boyfriend jeans if you want to. Roll the jeans up to show off the fabulous platform shoes you’re wearing. Pick printed shoes or go with colors for a fun style. Complete the look with a leather bag and dark pink nail polish!

Turtlenecks offer plenty of great styling opportunities, while also helping you to battle the cold temperature, so it’s great for layering too! What do you think?
