Cotton Candy Cheeks

We’re lacking of beauty posts this month (apologies!) all my fault (points to self). We have arranged another make up look for you that goes with our theme this month – pastel! It’s an everyday look with a pop on the cheek, it’s very easy and simple.

cotton candy cheeks by Adani Nurimanina(1. Paintpot in Painterly, at MAC; 2. Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Bashful, at Soap & Glory; 3. Stippling Brush, at Real Techniques; 4. Naked Palette, at Urban Decay; 5. Great Lash Clear Mascara, at Maybelline; 6. Hard Formula 9 Eyebrow Pencil, at Shu Uemura; 7. PhotoReady Cream Blushes, at Revlon)

After you’re done with your foundation or BB cream or whichever base you prefer, fill in your eyebrows with Shu Uemura Hard Formula 9 eyebrow pencil. You can choose the colour that fits your eyebrows, and then set them with Maybelline Great Lash clear mascara. Yes, you can use your clear mascara to set your eyebrows — this one’s effective. I know, right?

Use a cream shadow like MAC Paintpot in Painterly all over your eyelid, they don’t crease and very long lasting. Then if you have lighter skin tone, take a neutral shade like Naked from Urban Decay Naked Palette and blend it on your socket line. Or if you have medium skin tone, you can take Buck. Put the same shade under the eye, so your eyes will look naturally more framed. Curl your eyelashes and then put on your favorite mascara! What? No eyeliner? Yes girls, you don’t need eyeliner for this look. That’s the great thing about make up, experiment! You don’t always have to use the same products as everyone else! Plus, it looks cleaner and more modern.

Now it’s our favourite part, the blush. We love Revlon PhotoReady cream blushes, and for this look use the shade that is called Flushed (ooooh, look at that bright pink!), it may look scary in the pan but it’s really pretty on the cheeks. We find it easier to apply it with Real Techniques Stippling Brush than by fingers, because somehow the brush is better for cream products and liquid foundations. The key is to build it, put little amount of product on the brush each time and if you need more, you can always add more! It’s better than to have a ton of product on your cheeks and then you have to frantically take them off before they set! Put a little bit of powder where you need it. Finally, top of the look by applying your favourite pinky lip product — Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Bashful is really good, by the way! It has the right amount of shine and moisturizing. Just throw it in your bag and touch up is easily on the go!
