2015 Met Gala — Who Wore It Best?

It’s been sooo long since we last wrote a “Who Wore It Best” article, right? Do you miss it? We sure do miss talking about celebrities’ beautiful outfits and pick one out of our six favourites, as usual! So anyway, this time we are going to talk about the Met Gala. This year’s theme is “Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film and Fashion.” Even though, some people said that the Met Gala this year would be a low point because the attendees of the red carpet would play it safe, we still have our favourites! Here are our top 6 gowns from 2015 Met Gala and later please tell us, who wore it best?

(1) Rihanna

One word for Rihanna, stunning. She carries off a dramatic formal look very well. RiRi showed up in a dramatic yellow gown by Chinese couture designer Guo Pei. With flat eyebrows, hair-flip, beautiful headpiece and necklace, her whole look was definitely a show-stopper (let’s hope the very-long-fur trim cape is only faux!)

(2) Emily Blunt

We love the blue Prada dress Emily Blunt wore to the Met. The dress is covered in crystal and bead embroidery and also completed with a navy organza cape. It reminds us of the beautiful China Blue pattern! Her red lipstick and high volume up do really amp up her modern cheongsam, resulting a very classic look for the party.

(3) Sienna Miller

Finally, someone wore a pair of trousers to the Met this year. Sienna Miller arrived in Thakoon’s flattering red suit jacket and matching sequinned trousers. The tuxedo is attached with fringe sequined and you can really feel the Chinese theme with her rope tassel belt and also her earrings! We love it!

(4) Beyonce

Beyonce slayed the red carpet of Met Gala 2015, arriving in sheer custom Givenchy dress by Riccardo Tisci. Although, we don’t really like her high ponytail, and in our opinion, the dress would’ve been more gorgeous with a bit more coverage, the colorful floral and jewel embellishments that covers her net dress was just beautiful. Bow down!

(5) Emily Ratajkowski

This is what you can call affordable fashion. Emily looked incredibly demure in the floral-printed midi length from Topshop. She completed the look with a pair of gold wedged sandal by Brian Atwood. The 3D floral embroidery in hues of blue, silver, yellow and copper is jaw-droppingly pretty.

(6) Alexa Chung

The trendsetter, Alexa Chung, arrived on the red carpet hugged by this beautiful deep purpe Erdem dress. Her dress really represents the Chinese theme – with the corset, prints, her blue shoes, oh and we really love the floral embroidery on her dress! Chung’s flawless makeup and hair bun were also perfection.

So, from bold red, yellow, to pretty prints, it was so cool to see these celebrities embracing the theme at the 2015 Met Gala. We love it when people could go all out and wear the unexpected outfit for the met ball. This is literally what Met Gala is for! Our favourite will probably go to Rihanna because only RiRi could pull that outfit off! But Alexa Chung’s hip-hugging dress is also really pretty. What do you think, girls? Who wore the best outfit to the 2015 Met Gala? Tell us in the comments below!
